Procedure for long-term storage This is necessary to keep the printer in optimal condition and avoid potential damage that can be easily prevented. If the printer is left powered off for 12 hours or more, attach a head protection cover to the carriage to protect the print head.

Attaching the head protection cover Installing the head protection cover will protect the print head from damage even when the automatic maintenance function is not working because the power is off. IMPORTANT! Turn off the printer before attaching the head protection cover.
