3-7. Supplying the power

When supplying power, input the following type of power to
the output connector shown in Fig. 3-1.
Power supply voltage
We recommend the use of a power supply which includes a
short-circuit protection circuit: there is about 3 A/2 A peak
(10 ms/10 ms) of input rush current when the power is
turned on with 5 V/12 V -input for MJ100/110, respectively.
The MJ100/110 outputs nothing for approximately 0.1
seconds after power is turned on. Also, when power is
turned off, the MJ100/110 may temporarily output a signal
that may cause a malfunction of the entire system.
To prevent this from happening, be sure that the following
power-on and power-off sequences are used.
Turning on power
1.Turn on the power of the MJ100/110.
2.Turn on the receiver's power.
Turning off power
1.Turn off the receiver's power.
2.Turn off the power of the MJ100/110.
Note
As part of a self-check, all lamps of the MJ100/110 will turn
on for approximately 0.4 seconds after power is turned on.

3-8. Mounting the Interpolator

Mount the interpolator by using the mounting holes at the
top and bottom of the mainframe and the mounting screws
(M4x10) provided. Refer to "6. Dimensions" for mounting
hole dimensions.
To connect the Head cable connector, reference point
connector and output connector to the interpolator, insert it
into the position shown in the Fig. 3-1 until it clicks into
place. After mounting the interpolator, take care not to
subject these connectors to any unnecessary force since
this can cause them to fail.
