3-2. Resolution and output phase difference

The MJ100/110 outputs A/B phase signals, an alarm signal, and reference point signals as shown in Fig. 3-2.

. The scale travel is detected in 100 ns increments and output at a phase difference proportionate to the amount traveled.
The phase difference changes in integral multiples of 100 ns.
. The minimum phase difference Tw: 100 ns is for voltage-differential line drive output. With open collector output, the
minimum phase difference differs depending on the length of cable and load resistance.
. Alarm signal output is output for approximately 400 ms from the point the alarm is generated and automatically canceled as
soon as the cause of the alarm is eliminated.
. The A/B phase signals are at high impedance during output of the alarm signal. (MJ100)
