SPX
Sequenced Packet Exchange.
SVC (Switched Virtual Circuit)
SVCs are virtual circuits established on a call by call basis. SVCs are not supported in
this release of the HomeConnect ADSL Modem PCI.
TCP/IP
Transmission control protocol/Internet protocol, a set of communication protocols that
support peer-to-peer connectivity functions for both local and wide area networks.
TCP/IP is used to connect to the Internet.
UBR (Unspecified Bit Rate)
This is one of the categories of service available from the service provider. This
specifies no limit on the rate of information flow to the switch.
UNI Version (User-to-Network Interface Version)
The UNI is the point where the user accesses the network.
VBR (Variable Bit Rate) This is one of the categories of service. This is if a certain
rate has been specified with the switch for the flow of information.
VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier)
The VCI is part of the cell header for the cells that are transferred over this connection.
VPI (Virtual Path Identifier)
The VPI is part of the cell header for the cells that are transferred over this connection.
