Check whether there are any specific hardware problems,
such as broken traces or loose/broken solder connections.

Link Beat LED

The 3C529-TP adapter has an LED for the link beat (see
Figure 6-7).

The link beat LED confirms that there is an active
connection between the 3C529-TP adapter and the hub.
