Dimming the Panel and Display

The DLC50 panel brightness can be controlled by a common external 0-28V cockpit instrument
dimming circuit, or it can be manually adjusted. Depending on the installation, if an external dimming
control is connected to the DLC50 dimming input, then the external control should generally be used to
adjust the panel brightness. In this case, the DLC50 dim menu will allow the panel brightness of the
DLC50 to be trimmed to match other instruments at low-level settings of the external dimmer. In
installations where the DLC50 is not connected to the external dimming control, the Dim menu can be
used to adjust the DLC50 brightness over the entire adjustment range.
