If an LED is not operating properly, consult the
OfficeConnect Remote 812 Online User's Guide and refer
to the section on Troubleshooting.
NOTE: If the ADSL LED is off, there may be a problem with
the ADSL cable or line. However, you can continue setting
up your OCR 812 even if the ADSL Link Status LED is off.

Configuring the Workstation and Selecting a Mode

The IP configuration on your Workstation must correspond
with the OCR 812 configuration. The following sections
detail your options based on the Boot Mode you select.

Using DHCP Smart Mode

If you choose Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
Smart Mode, you need to configure some parameters on
your workstation.
1 For DHCP Smart Mode, you must set up all workstations on
the LAN connected to the OCR 812 to automatically obtain
their IP address.
2 If you have configured IP addresses manually on your
workstation, verify that the IP address is on the
192.168.200.0 Class C subnet and that the default router
is 192.168.200.254.
Note: See Appendix A for instructions on how to change
or verify that your workstation is configured for automatic
assignment of an IP address and corresponding
parameters.
3 After you have configured your workstation, go to the
section Installing the OfficeConnect Remote 812 Software.

Using the Default Bridge Mode

When the OCR 812 is configured as a bridge, see your
Service Provider's instructions on how to set up the
workstation. For more information, see Chapter 3, "Testing
the Configuration".
