Using the Unconfigured Mode

When the OCR 812 is not configured with an IP address on
the LAN, you must use the Remote 812 IP Configuration
Wizard program, which is included on your CD. When you
select the first button on the CD menu, the wizard starts.
1 Connect to the console port to configure an IP address
before you access the unit with a Web Browser.
2 Go to the section Installing the OfficeConnect Remote 812
Software for instructions on installing the CD.
3 If you are using Windows, assign an address with the
Remote 812 IP Configuration Wizard, which detects your
OCR 812 on the LAN and then prompts you to specify the
IP address you want to use.
4 If you are using Macintosh or Unix, you need to use the
console port and a terminal emulator program to access
the CLI.
5 Use the settings: 9600 Bits per Second, 8 Data Bits, No
Parity, Flow control equal to Xon/Xoff.
