> Pull the thread over the thread cutter (13) from the back to the front, then cut.

Check whether the thread is correctly positioned in the thread tension unit.
> Lower the presser foot.
> Pull the end of the thread.
– If the thread can be pulled only with some resistance, it is correctly positioned in the thread tension
unit.
– If the thread can be pulled easily, it is not threaded correctly, and must be rethreaded.
If you are using iron-on batting or spray baste your quilt, first guide the thread on the left-hand side of
the machine in sequence through the left eyelet, through the thread lubrication unit filled with silicone
and through the right eyelet.

Threading the twin needle

When working with a twin needle, a twin needle stitch plate must be used. We also recommend using ruler
foot #96.
Threading a twin needle differs from threading a single needle only in small – but important – details. The
following instructions are illustrated only where they differ from normal threading.
