3.1.7.4   Sanitizing a Storage Device
This task provides instructions for performing a Sanitize on an F3x00 storage device using the OCGUI.
Before you begin:
Note: Before performing a Sanitize, all paths and volumes on the storage device must be
deleted. Instructions for deleting paths and volumes are included in this procedure.
The Sanitize feature provides the following options for securely sanitizing the storage device:
• Block Erase – deletes the mapping table and erases all the blocks that have been written to the
device
• Cryptographic Erase – deletes the encryption key, making the data unrecoverable
