What 4s harmonic synthesis?
1
■ The harmonic synthesis function adds together sine
waves of different frequencies and levels, thereby
creating a "multisound" in wave memory (RAM).
[2] About the harmonics tables.
■ The DSS-1 offers you a choice of harmonics tables to
use as the basis for harmonic synthesis. There are six
initial choices.
1. BLANK: Level is nil for all 128 harmonics,
SAW:
2*
A sawtooth wave.
3. SQ U ARE; A rectangular waveform.
METAL:
4.
A metallic gong-like waveform.
CLAV:
5.
A typical clavichord waveform.
. ORGAN: A typical organ waveform.

■ When a harmonics table is selected, it is copied to the
"current harmonics table" where you can work on it
with the harmonic synthesis and editing functions.
