Change device firmware
General
Firmware is the program built in to one of the chips in the Chatter™ Data Logger, Three different types of
firmware exists:
Chatter™ Data Logger RTU firmware for data loggers supplying data directly to some sort of SCADA system
Chatter™ Data Logger e-mail firmware for data loggers supplying data to a user via a standard e-mail or as a
SMS message
Chatter™ Data Logger database firmware for data loggers supplying data to a special MJK Automation ApS
Chatter™ Data Logger database
You may change the actual running firmware to one of the other variants to suit your needs.
Select the firmware version you want to replace the running
firmware.
The firmware is a part of the Chatter™ Link
program.
If the firmware for the Chatter™ Data Logger is supplied as a
file,
ADVANCED
A warning. The yes-button will be active after a short delay.
Changing the devise firmware removes any
configuration and any logged data stored in the
Chatter™ Data Logger. There is no way to
restore the removed data!
This windows shows information on the firmware you are
about to send to theChatter™ Data Logger.
If you answer Yes at this point, the firmware
change procedure is started.
