The IP address of the FA 45 Vision Sensor is set by the manufacturer to 192.168.100.100 with sub-net mask 255.255.255.0. The operation of the FA 45 Vision Sensor is independent of a computer or PLC. A PC or noteboOK is required only for configuring the FA 45 Vision Sensor.
  • Page 6: Intended Use

When the 6 mm lens is in use, external illumination is generally necessary. When the C-Mount version of FA 45 is in use, a C-Mount lens with a 6.6 mm intermediate ring or a C-Mount protective case is required (see accessories chapter 8.12).

FA 45 Vision Sensor set by the manufacturer at 192.168.100.100/24 with Subnetmask 255.255.255.0 is free and is not in use for any other unit connected to the system. If necessary, re-set the IP address of the FA 45 Vision Sensor as described in the section „Net- work settings“ (see chapter 3.3).

Basic settings for PC and FA 45 Vision Sensor To configure the FA 45 Vision Sensor with a PC it is essential that a network board and the TCP/IP LAN- connection is installed on the PC. (This also applies when the PC is not connected to a network. See also chapter 3.2, Electrical Connection).
  • Page 11 Mounting and operating instructions Proceeding/Troubleshooting - Direct Connection Creating a functioning ethernet connection between FA 45 Vision Sensor and PC Important: To configure the PC via Direct Connection it is neccessary to change it´s IP- configuration. Please contact your system administrator to inform about changes !
