5. Dismantling the backrest
This child seat can be used for age group 3 (22 kg to 36 kg) as a booster
seat without a backrest. HEYNER® recommends using the backrest for
as long as possible. In the event of a side impact, only the backrest offers
optimum protection.
WARNING: Use the child seat only as a booster seat for the age group (22 to
36 kg) and if your child is taller than 125 cm. If the size is less than 125 cm,
the product with backrest must be used.
Lock the three-point belt buckle and secure the lock tongue (V) from the
three-point belt of the vehicle into the three-point belt buckle with an
audible << CLICK >>.
6. Mounting as child seat without backrest with ISOFIT
Before you place the booster on the car seat, if required, attach the two
supplied installation aids (IH) to the ISOFIX anchors (IA) in your car. You can
find the ISOFIX attachment points between the seat and the backrest of
your car.
Now put the two ISOFIX terminals (IK) to the ISOFIX anchors (IA) on the car
and CLICK them into place until you hear a << CLICK >>.
L+R
Please check the markings on BOTH PAGES,
whether the seat is correctly connected to the two ISOFIX anchors (IA) of
the car.
GREEN: the terminal is fixed CORRECTLY.
CHECK
RED: the terminal is fixed NOT CORRECTLY, please correct it!

Only a proper fixing of BOTH TERMINALS guarantees
the provided hold of the seat and the protection of your
child in the car!
Place the MaxiFix PLUS on the car seat, set your child in
the Booster and secure your child with the lap (O) and
diagonal belts (N) of the three-point-
vehicle-belt.
Now fasten the three-point seat-belt with an
audible »CLICK« sound. Make sure that the lap
belt runs under the fixation lugs (C) on both sides
and that the diagonal belt leads only under the
fixation lugs (C) on the side of the belt buckle (Q).
7. Use of the additional belt guide
In some vehicles, the diagonal belt does not
run optimally over the shoulder area of your child. Always check that the
diagonal belt is in the correct position when using it as a booster seat. If
the diagonal belt does not run within the intended range, please use the
supplied flexible belt guide.
7.1. Using the flexible belt guide
Pass the diagonal strap through the strap guide eyelet. Make sure that the
strap is not twisted and runs diagonally behind your child's back.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the daigonal belt is always in the designated
area.
