PowerXL DC1 Setup Troubleshooting
Effective August 2016
9) How do I enable the auto-restart function on my drive after a power cycle or power
failure?
To enable an auto-restart function on the DC1 drive you will need to use an I/O start configuration. This is configured by
setting P-12 to a value of 0. Refer to the P-15 parameter tables to configure the I/O selections. The parameters are located
in the manual under List of Parameters and are also at the end of this document. You then need to configure P-30 to Auto -
0 to enable auto-restarting. Once this has been configured ensure that the start signal is maintained from T1 to the T2
(FWD) (or T3 (REV) if a reverse start is being used) in a power cycle or power outage condition. NOTES: Setting 10 and 11
cannot be used, these are momentary start functions. To do an auto-restart after a fault condition you need to set parameter
P-30 to a value greater than Auto - 0.
10) Why does my minimum speed value and maximum speed value displaying RPM
instead of Hz?
Your minimum frequency parameter P-02, and maximum frequency P-01 will be displayed in RPM if a value greater than 0
is entered into parameter P-10 (Motor Rated Speed). By changing the value at P-10 to the RPM of the motor will also allow
the operating monitor screen to display the RPM value while running (this is the value that is displayed without an A or H).
Be sure to set P-10 BEFORE you set P-01 or P-02.
