NEVER FILL UP oil in the cutter bar, always
REPLACE it with the prescribed quantity!

Checking the oil level in the mower tank
– Check the oil level at least once a year.
– Warm up the machine and place it on level ground
(7b).
– Align the cutter bar into the horizontal position
(7a).
– Lift the cutter bar and support it on the side with
vertical gearing and drive using e.g. a 136 mm
wooden rail (7c).
– Lower the cutter bar so that its outer side is on the
ground and the side with vertical gearing and drive
is on the wooden rail (7c).
– Wait approx. 15 minutes.
– The oil level is controlled through the control
opening. The oil level has to reach the edge of the
screw.
DISC 260 F ALP
Checking the oil level in the mower tank
– Check the oil level at least once a year.
– Warm up the machine and place it on level ground
(7b).
– Align the cutter bar into the horizontal position
(7a).
– Lift the cutter bar and support it on the side with
vertical gearing and drive using e.g. a 165 mm
wooden rail (7c).
– Lower the cutter bar so that its outer side is on the
ground and the side with vertical gearing and drive
is on the wooden rail (7c).
– Wait approx. 15 minutes.
– The oil level is controlled through the control
opening. The oil level has to reach the edge of the
screw.

Checking the oil level in the mower tank
– Check the oil level at least once a year.
– Warm up the machine and place it on level ground
(7b).
– Align the cutter bar into the horizontal position
(7a).
– Lift the cutter bar and support it on the side with
vertical gearing and drive using e.g. a 194 mm
wooden rail (7c).
– Lower the cutter bar so that its outer side is on the
ground and the side with vertical gearing and drive
is on the wooden rail (7c).
– Wait approx. 15 minutes.
– The oil level is controlled through the control
opening. The oil level has to reach the edge of the
screw.
ATTENTION!
If it is not possible to accurately determine
the oil level during the check, release the oil
from the cutter bar and add the prescribed
quantity of fresh oil.
An excessive amount of oil in the cutter bar
causes overheating and damage to the
bearings in the flanges.
Draining the oil from the cutter tank
– Remove the lower slider under the gear.
– Unscrew the bolt to add oil.
– Unscrew the bolt to drain oil.

Checking the oil level in the main drive
– Unscrew the bolt under the shaft to check the oil
level (5 – A).
Draining the oil from the main drive
– Unscrew the bolt to add oil (5 – A).
– Unscrew the lower bolt to drain oil (5 – B).
– Drain oil.
– While tightening the oil drain bolt, use sealant
paste.
– When adding oil, check the oil level by unscrewing
the bolt under the output shaft.
– Make sure the bolts on the drive are tightly
refastened.
