replacement at this position.

Remove the two round clamps (ITEM #34) on either side of cam follower cartridge. Use heat to
break the Loctite if necessary.

Remove the SHCS (ITEM #32) retainer screw.

Attach the two mounting screws of the extraction tool to the same hole used by the clamps.

Back the jam nut off the center screw jack of the extraction tool.
Thread the center screw jack screw into the cam follower cartridge's tapped hole.

Use the jam nut on the extraction tool to remove the follower cartridge.

Inspect each cam follower stud hole for roundness and size. The cam follower stud hole must be
an interference fit. The cam follower holes must be -.013 to -0.025 mm for the about one half the
length of the lower portion of the hole. Check the follower holes for roundness. These holes
should be round within .013 TIR of a mm to permit reuse of the follower wheel. These holes may
be worn-out due to overloads.
Do not use a follower wheel with oversized or egg shaped cartridge holes. The
replacement parts will fail prematurely.

Cam follower removal from cartridge

Clamp the upper half of the follower cartridge (Item #33) below the flange in a vise.
Remove the retaining SHCS (Item #32). Note: The "clearance hole" for this screw is a tapped hole
larger than the screw head.
Insert a dowel (green object) longer than the tap depth.
Insert a long metric screw same size as the "clearance hole"
Turn the screw and use it to push out the cam follower.

Cam follower installation into cartridge

Clamp the upper half of the follower cartridge (Item #34) below the flange in a vise.
Use a screw that is the same size but longer than the retaining SHCS (Item #32)
