6.2 Commissioning

Before the machine is put into operation it is the obligation of
the operator to carry out a visual check to ensure that there
are no unauthorised persons on the machine or inside the
machine.

6.3 Set-Up and Tooling

Tooling
The following hazards may be present during tooling of the unit.
Tooling presents the hazard of entanglement/trapping/drawing-in.
Make sure all personnel are trained and aware of safe operating
distances.
Tooling presents the hazard of impact. Make sure all personnel are
trained and aware of safe operating distances.
Tooling presents the hazard of stabbing/puncture. Make sure
personnel are trained and aware of safe operating distances.
Tooling presents the hazard of ejected objects. Make all tooling is
securely fastened to the unit before initiating operation.
Tooling presents the hazard of exposing personnel with parts live
under fault by pinching/pulling cables and control feeds. Please make
sure all wiring is securely placed out of reach of any tooling.
Please note: It is the responsibility of the end-user/owner to properly determine safe
application and operation of tooling with respect to these hazards.
It is, however, recommended that the end-user/owner clearly define safe tooling procedures
as well as develop safety markings and operating distances for any tooling.
