RTD connection

Thermo Scientific
RTD connection
This section provides information for third-party integrators on how
to interface with the RTD temperature detector used on the S.U.S.
The RTD enters the same area on each BioProcess Container (BPC)
regardless of the vessel size. It is a three-wire, resistance-canceling
RTD. All RTDs are 100-ohm, thin film Pt. RTD, Class "A" equipment
with tolerances from -30 °C to 350 °C. The RTD is rated from 0 °C-
200 °C. It is offered in either a single-element or a dual-element
configuration, with multiple types of connectors. Table 18 lists several
available RTDs.
6.1 Units without Thermo Scientific
e-boxes
The RTD on units supplied without a Thermo Scientific e-box will
need to be plugged into the integrator's control panel for temperature
feedback.
