Risk of serious injury posed by pressurized components moving in an uncontrolled manner
when handled improperly.
If not handled properly or in the event of a defect, gas can escape from pressurized compo-
nents under high pressure and cause serious injuries and even death. Before you start work-
ing on these components:
 Close all connections leading to the gas-carrying line.
 Establish a depressurized status. Residual amounts of energy must be depressurized as
well.

Proceed as follows:

Close the outlet valve (5).

Close the inlet stop valve armature (1).

Open the shut-off device in the blowdown line (4) in order for the pressure in the outlet
chamber to be relieved.

Open the shut-off device in the blowdown line (2) in order for the pressure in the inlet
chamber to be relieved.
5
Wait a few minutes so that the pressure in the entire gas pressure regulator (3) can be
relieved.
Purge all of the gas pressure regulator's lines with nitrogen before removing the device.
