The test configuration for the gas pressure regulator is shown below (schematic diagram):
The numbers have the following meaning:
No. Meaning
1 Inlet chamber
2 Outlet chamber
3 Inlet stop valve armature
4 Inlet chamber blowdown line with shut-off device
5 Adapter (optional)
6 Gas pressure regulator
7 Outlet chamber blowdown line with shut-off device
8 Outlet pressure gauge
9 Outlet stop valve armature
By default, the gas pressure regulators supplied by the manufacturer are configured at the
factory as required for the operating specifications provided by the customer. These specifica-
tions will be found in the inspection certificate associated with the gas pressure regulator.
Make sure that the following requirements are met:
▪ The specifications for the gas pressure regulator in the test setup are the same as the
specifications in the inspection certificate.
▪ The blowdown lines (4.7) are sealed with a shut-off device (e.g., ball valve).
