Procedure

Check if all preconditions are met. Attempting to run the
proof test while the preconditions are not met will be reject-
ed with an error.
Invoke the proof test service through the system services.
The proof test status will read "1 - Proof Test currently run-
ning" .
Continue polling the proof test status. Once the test is com-
plete, the status will change to one of the following
"2- proof test passed" – proof test passed
"3- proof test failed" – proof test failed, refer fault queue
to identify the reason for failure.
The "Test Trip" service is automatically executed at the end
of proof test. This will leave the all the relays in an open state
and "Test Trip Fault" will be thrown.
System can be used after the proof test by clearing the test
trip fault using a fault reset.
Depending on the way the user is connected to the base con-
trol module, the Proof Test can be performed as stated in the
table that follows.

Reading Proof
• Configure Proof Test Status

register (Slot 0 index 42) as
Acyclic Input Word.
• Read the Proof Test Status
register.
If all reactions of the C445 motor management relay are cor-
rect, it is suitable for further use.
If one of the reactions does not occur, the C445 motor man-
agement relay modules should be taken out of operation and
returned to Eaton Corporation.
