3. Coolant level check.
1. Unscrew the plug from the union pipe of the coolant.
2. Check that the liquid is visible. If it is not the case, top liquid up.
Warning
• This is a dangerous operation and MUST be carried out with
a cold engine only.
• The cooling liquid circuit is pressurized, so do not carry out
checks before the engine has cooled down. Even in this case,
open the radiator tap very carefully.
Every 300 hours or 1 year:
1. Engine oil replacement
Warning
• To quickly and completely drain off the engine oil, it is
advisable to carry out this operation when the engine is hot.
• The used engine oil can cause skin-cancer if kept frequently
in contact for prolonged periods. If contact with oil cannot be
avoided, wash carefully your hands with water and soap as
soon as possible.
• Do not disperse the oil in the environment, as it has a high
pollution power.
- Run the pump (see picture) in order to drain the engine oil.
- Remove oil filter cap.
- Pour oil very slowly to prevent it from spilling out. After refilling,
screw the plug back into its housing.
- Check that oil is at its maximum with the engine on a flat level.
Warning
Before restarting, make sure that the oil dipstick and the oil
drain and fill plugs have been correctly fitted back in place to
prevent lubricant from spilling out.
