Starting

Warning
• Make sure that all the warning lights are off when the engine
is running.
• For engines with starting panel equipped with engine
protection, make sure the OK light only keeps ON.
• Do not actuate starter for more than 20 seconds at a time. If
engine does not start,wait 1 minute before repeating attempt.
If the engine does not start after two attempts, trace the cause
according to Diagnosis Chart (see page 67).
1. Insert the key in the ignition switch: first clockwise click -
indicators light up.
2. Wait for the "glow plug preheating" indicator to switch off
and further rotate the key clockwise to start the engine.
3. At idle speed for a few minutes according to table.

4. While the engine is running, increase or reduce the speed
by pressing the proper button (placed over the starting
panel) marked by an arrow in the picture.
5. Press the right part of the button to increase speed.
6. Press the left part of the button to reduce speed.
Warning
• On start-up, make sure no engine faults are signalled by
warning lights. If otherwise, assess if the engine must be
stopped immediately or whether it is possible to continue with
operations and proceed with restoring it later.
