HCS Optional Features User Manual

COSMOS Open Collector Output: 8 or 10 Wire

The Optically-coupled Open Collector Output 0 (White wire)
indicates whether the vehicle is charging or not. Output 0 will be
pulled low when the EVSE power contactor is energized and is
returned to a logic high five seconds after the contactor opens.
This output is designed to be compatible with the +12V/1kΩ
Load Management High/Low or High/Off input terminal of the
ClipperCreek CS series products as well as the +5V/10kΩ Load
Management 0 or Load Management 1 of another ClipperCreek
HCS equipped with the COSMOS interface. This output operates
as shown in Table 8.

seconds after the vehicle stops charging.
NOTE: The 8 and 10 wire harnesses do not support Open Collector
Output 1. Only the 15 wire harness supports both Outputs 0 and 1.
