PROBABLE CAUSE
Discs set too shallow:
Scrapers set too tight:
Disc blades worn:
Front discs set too shallow:
Shanks not spaced correctly:
Scrapers not adjusted correctly:
Scrapers not assembled correctly:
SOLUTION
Lower disc gangs.
Adjust scrapers to touch disc blades lightly.
You should be able to turn disc gang by
hand. In wet soil or heavy residue,
adjust scrapers 1/16" to 3/16" away
from disc blades.
New blades are 22" dia. Replace when
necessary.
Lower discs to get better cutting action
See shank placement diagrams (See
Figures 2-1 - 2-12.) Adjust if
necessary.
Adjust scrapers to touch disc blades lightly.
You should be able to turn disc gang by
hand. In wet soil or heavy residue,
adjust scrapers 1/16" to 3/16" away
from disc blades.
Check set up instructions.
