28mm Submarine: Conning Tower

Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Remove the front and rear main supports plus the
central cross beam and two side supports from
the sprue as shown above.

Attach the side supports into the gaps provided.

Starting from the bottom, glue each strip into

Glue the cross beam to the front and rear supports.

Take the side pieces shown above from the sprue.

Then attach the upper strip.

Glue the top plate into position.

  • Page 2 Attach the deck plate. Take the seven pieces shown above. Attach them to the deck as shown above. The two inner plates… ..should be inserted inside the tower (see pic) Add the deck section. Poke your finger / a pencil / etc through the hole in the main deck to help align the lugs.
  • Page 3 Glue them together as shown, leaving a gap at the base so it can be slotted into the hole in the tower Place (do not glue) the snorkel into position. This deck (see next pic) can be removed to aid storage. The finished model.
