BEFORE STARTING:

UNPACK
Open up and
unpack all items
STEP 1 – LOOSELY ASSEMBLE BRACKETS TO xBARS (before putting on top of Vehicle)
1) Align Crossbar into Bracket channel on PART A (ignore small bracket piece, PART
B, at this time). Insert 3/8" Carriage Bolts (x2) from (8-00-9505) through bracket
channel, on other side of bolt slide on washer, lock washer, then hex nut; finger
thread, but allow bracket to slide still. Do this for all brackets. (NOTE: Small
bottom PART B gets assembled in STEP 3)
2) [JL / JLU Hard Top Packages do not come with Weight Dist. Feet 8-00-9913. If you

have these feet then this would be the time to
thread them into the bottom – chose two of the
outside holes for the feet, and ignore the hex nut.
Thread foot into bar all the way (lightly finger
tight). Do not tighten. Place Rubber stick pads
where crossbar nearly touches Jeep hard top.
