ArkiveApp is a software application developed for use on
smartphones
allowing
for
interactive
communication
between the operator and the system.
With ArkiveApp, the operator can carry out the archiving and
retrieval operations in full autonomy and with step-by-step
guidance.
ArkiveApp has been developed especially for smartphones to
make it possible for the operator to have access to all the
information coming from the system software without the
use of other personal computers or terminals.
The operator is provided with the instrument already
configured in order to comply with the established
specifications. At the first access to ArkiveApp, the operator personalises his/her user
account with his/her credentials - username and password - necessary for connecting
to the server.
At the end of the registration ArkiveApp will be connected to the system software; at
any time, the operator can receive slide archiving and retrieval missions, view alarms
deriving from malfunctioning, or be accompanied step-by-step in an interactive way
during the slide loading-withdrawal procedures.
Thanks to ArkiveApp, the operator can easily and quickly access the "Assistance
Centre" service.
The use of the integrated camera in the smartphone makes it possible to read the
barcodes required during the archiving and retrieval procedures, allowing the operator
to verify the correct execution of the missions before handling/moving slides
unnecessarily.
In case of breakage or loss of the smartphone supplied, it is possible to continue
operating by installing ArkiveApp on another smartphone (backup) and authenticating
oneself with the same user information registered previously.
