cartridge. If the process is successful, the "slide code" + "cartridge code" + "position
in the cartridge" are transferred to the database on the local server, which in turn
synchronises them with the database in cloud and transmits them to the LIS
management system.

The slides to be retrieved are
inserted in a slide-holder rack.
The operator takes the slide-
holder rack and inserts it into the
special housing in the FINDER.
The FINDER checks whether
there is a cartridge in which to
transfer the slides and that the
cartridge is the correct one. If it
is, then the FINDER is ready to
go, otherwise it signals the
absence of a cartridge or an
incorrect cartridge. The FINDER
positions the cartridge near the
compartment of the rack from
which
withdrawn, picks up the slide
using an electronically controlled
pincer, reads the barcode on the
