The FINDER is equipped with a Wi-Fi card, which allows for communication with
the system server and thanks to the software makes it possible for the FINDER to
interact with the smartphones supplied to the operators.
The FINDER has an integrated reader on board for identifying both the linear 1D
barcodes and the 2D QR codes/Data Matrix barcodes of the racks, slides and
cartridges.
The FINDER is used both during the loading of slides on the rack for archiving and
during the retrieval of slides to be unloaded from the rack and transferred into the
cartridges.
All the slide archiving/retrieval phases are tracked and stored within local and cloud
databases. In the event of any anomalies, it is possible to reconstruct the entire
itinerary and the archiving-retrieval process of each individual slide.
The room must possess all the features required for its installation as follows:
• the room temperature must be between 15°C and 25°C;
• the floor must be non-slip;
• the device must be positioned perfectly level;
• the room must have load-bearing characteristics of at least 6 kN/m
2

• the room must have ventilation and lighting systems as prescribed by the
regulations in force in the user's country;
• the room must be clean and free of moisture;
• the room must have switches to cut off any form of electricity upstream if
necessary (emergency shut-off);
• the room must have a preferential electricity line in "absolute continuity" coming
from a UPS to which the system can be connected;
