SEAT TO BACK ANGLE ADJUSTMENT (Continued)
To adjust seat to back angle:
a.
This adjustment should be performed by a healthcare professional
b.
There are 7 different settings available, from 90° to 135° in 7.5 degree increments.
c.
Remove the nylock nuts (B) and plastic cover.
d.
Remove the hole pin from the post (C) and repeat steps on other side of the device.
e.
Adjust angle to desired location and re-install the hole pins.
f.
Tighten the button-head screws and nuts (B) to 30 - 35 in-lbs (3.4 - 4Nm) (do not overtighten)
to lock the adjustment into place.
g.
This adjustment can change the balance of the device so it is good to check that there is no
danger of tipping with the new setting.
J. BACK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
For ease of adjustment, and safety of the dependent, remove the occupant before any adjustment
is made. Always stabilize the mobility device before performing this action.
Rotate the front casters until they point forward.
Engage the parking brake.
Quick adjustment (up to 100mm (3.9"))
a. Loosen the four knobs (D) and (E) on the back
NOTE -
If Laterals are being used, loosen,

Adjust the height by sliding the upper backrest shell up or down.
c.
Re-tighten the knobs (D)(E).
Height adjust (more than 100mm (3.9"))
a.
Remove the top screws on the backcanes (F). In some cases it might be necessary to
remove the bottom screws(F) as well.
b.
Loosen or remove the two bottom knobs (D).
NOTE - If Laterals are being used, loosen,

Slide the handle and backshell assembly up or down to the next set of adjustment holes on the
back handle.
d.
Attach and tighten the button-head screws (F) and knobs (D) (do not overtighten) to lock the
adjustment into place.
e.
Replace the backrest cushion.
NOTE - This adjustment can change the balance of the device so it is good to check that
there is no danger of tipping with the new setting.
K. FOOTREST ADJUSTMENTS
Height Adjustment
The height adjustment for the footrest consists of two telescoping tube sections which lock the
footrest height.
a.
Identify adjustment screw locations (A) on the rear side of the footrest hanger.
b.
First loosen the upper screws on each side of the footrest hanger.
c.
Slide the footrest up or down to proper height.
d.
Tighten the upper screw to 15-20 in-lbs (1.69-2.6 Nm) (do not overtighten)
e.
Repeat procedure using lower screw if additional range is required.
NOTE - Footrest is shown inverted for shortest possible leg length. It can be attached either way by
flipping the footrest for more height or more secure foot placement.
Angle Adjustment
a.
The footrest has two screws (B) and (C) that control footrest rotation. Loosen both screws on
each side of the footrest as shown in (Figure 39).
b.
Adjust the footrest to proper angle.
c.
Tighten the adjustment screws to 40-45 in-lbs (4.5-5 Nm) to maintain proper footrest angle.

NOTE -
Do not overtighten this hardware against plastic parts).
