Explanation of the terms used
Heat source
Since various heat sources can be connected to the control unit, the term
"heat source" or "boiler" is subsequently used e.g. for all floor-standing
boilers, other boilers, wall-mounted indoor units, wall-mounted
condensing boilers, heat sources that utilise renewable energies or other
heat sources.
Qualified person
A qualified person is a person who has extensive, specialist, theoretical
and practical knowledge, as well as experience in the specialist area and
is familiar with applicable standards.
Contractor
A contractor is an organisational unit of the industrial sector with
specially trained personnel.

Product Description
Product description 8311
The modular control system provides the perfect means of adjustment
for floor standing boilers and wall mounted boilers equipped with a 7-pin
plug to ensure the operating conditions for the specific product are
satisfied.
The control unit controls a floor standing oil or gas boiler with separate
burner via a 7-pin plug. As an option, a modulating boiler circulation
pump can be activated via a 0...10 V interface. Matching of the
maximum permissible shutdown temperature is possible via an
adjustable electronic high limit safety cut-out.
The standard equipment of the control unit comprises the boiler circuit
or heating circuit with or without mixer and DHW heating functions. In
order to match it optimally to the heating system, the control unit can be
extended by up to a maximum of 4 function modules.
No parameter settings are lost in the event of a power failure. When the
power supply is restored, the control unit resumes operation.

equipped with a SAFe burner control unit to ensure the operating
conditions for the specific product are satisfied.
The control unit controls EMS floor standing gas boiler, EMS wall hung
gas boiler and EMS oil boiler. As an option, a modulating boiler
circulation pump can be activated via a 0...10 V interface.
The standard equipment of the control unit comprises the boiler circuit
or heating circuit with or without mixer and DHW heating functions. In
order to match it optimally to the heating system, the control unit can be
extended by up to a maximum of 4 function modules.

Notice regarding systems with several heat sources
The CC 8311/CC 8313 control unit can control systems containing
several heat sources (cascades) in combination with the FM-CM cascade
module.

The control unit controls and monitors heating systems in apartment
buildings, residential complexes and other buildings.
