Faults

9.2.1

Eliminating simple faults

The fault displays depend on the modules used.
Faults caused by the control unit, are automatically deleted once the fault
has been rectified.
Faults caused by the burner control unit of the heat source must be reset
at the control or the heat source, depending on the type of fault:
▶ Observe the technical documentation for the heat source!

Give the following data for those faults, which you can not rectify
yourself:
• Text or number of displayed fault
• Control unit type on the data plate ( Fig. 1, [11], page 6)
• Make note of the software version of the operating system and user
interface.

• The heating system emergency
stop switch is off.
• The control unit is switched off.
• The control unit safety equipment
has been triggered.
• A safety device has been triggered. ▶ Check circuit breaker.
• The inserted module is faulty or the
software version is outdated.
• The control unit safety equipment
has been triggered.
• Sensor not installed, faulty or
outside the measuring range.
• Module faulty
• The outside temperature sensor is
not connected, incorrectly
connected or is faulty.
• Manual operation activated
• The set elapsed time has elapsed. ▶ Have maintenance carried out.
• The specified period before
maintenance is next due has
expired.
• The set burner starts have expired. ▶ Have maintenance carried out.
• The control is in setback mode.
• The set room temperature is too
low.
• The DHW heating is running for too
long.
• Heat sources are delivering
insufficient thermal energy or are
shut down.
• Room temperature sensor has
been adjusted incorrectly.
Operating and fault displays
Remedy
▶ Switch on the heating system
emergency stop switch.
▶ Switch on control unit.
▶ Push in the pin  Chapter 3.11,
page 15.
When triggered several times:
▶ Phone Service.
▶ Phone Service.

▶ Deactivate manual operation.
▶ Have service display reset.
