Outdoor test and use
1. Turn POWER/VOLUME to 2/3.
2. Find an area where no metal is.
3. Place a sample of the material you wish to find, such as a gold ring or a coin, on the
ground.
4. Press and release the red button on the handle and turn the volume knob until the
pointer is at 0.
5. Hold the search ring at a distance of 2.5-5 cm from the
ground. Move the search ring slowly in the direction of the
placed sample. Rotate the search ring slowly from side to
side.
Notes on pivoting the search ring
● Never swing the search ring like a pendulum. Raising the search ring at the end of
panning can result in false readings.
● Swing slowly. Fast movements may cause you to miss targets.
● It is best to swing the search head in arc lines of about 8 cm distance and to keep the
search ring parallel to the ground.
● If the detector finds something, a sound will be made, an arrow appears on the display
and the depth will be displayed below the target icon.
● If the detector does not find the sample, make sure that the mode is selected to match
the desired metal. You should also ensure that you move the search ring as described.
● The detector responds with a signal if a valuable metal object is found. If the signal
does not repeat when you swing the search ring over the object, it is likely that it is
metal waste.
● False displays may be caused by underground pollution, electrical interference or large
metal parts in the area.
● False displays are generally interrupted and not repeated.
