COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL
Model FA5000
IN
ARINC 717 differential serial flight data input sig
nal, Line B, received from an aircraft data acquisi
tion unit. Format is defined in ARINC Characterist
ics 573, 717, and 747. Data rate of 64 wps, 128
wps, 256 wps, or 512 wps is determined by FDR
DATA RATE A and FDR DATA RATE B. RS422
differential levels with input impedance greater
than 100 kohms.
OUT
ARINC 717 differential serial flight data output sig
nal, Line B. Data output is the FDAU input data
buffered and returned to the FDAU. Format is
defined in ARINC Characteristics 573, 717, and
747. The differential output is RS422, slew rate
controlled, and with impedance of 85 ohms.
IN
Line B input of a standard ARINC 429 compliant
differential pair that provides Controller Pilot Data
Link Communication (CPDLC) using the Williams
burg V3 file data transfer protocol.
IN
Line A input of a standard ARINC 429 compliant
differential pair that provides Controller Pilot Data
Link Communication (CPDLC) using the Williams
burg V3 file data transfer protocol.
OUT
+18 ±2 VDC output for Area Microphone bias.
Maximum operating current is 25 milliamps. Short
circuit limited at approximately 30 milliamps.
IN
Area Microphone signal return which is connected
by 0 Ohm resistors to CAM signal shield ground,
CAM power shield ground, and CAM power return.
Return is referenced to signal ground.
IN
Area Microphone audio signal. Single ended input.
IN
Line A input of a standard ARINC 429 compliant
differential pair used for receiving GMT / UTC
from a chronometer. The label of the clock is 125
for BCD or 150 for binary.
IN
ARINC 717 differential serial flight data input sig
nal, Line A, received from an aircraft data acquisi
tion unit. Format is defined in ARINC Characterist
ics 573, 717, and 747. Data rate of 64 wps, 128
wps, 256 wps, or 512 wps is determined by FDR
DATA RATE A and FDR DATA RATE B. RS422
differential levels with input impedance greater
than 100 kohms.
OUT
ARINC 717 differential serial flight data output sig
nal, Line A. Data output is the FDAU input data
buffered and returned to the FDAU. Format is
defined in ARINC Characteristics 573, 717, and
747. The differential output is RS422, slew rate
controlled, and with impedance of 85 ohms.
OUT
Ground return for +28VDC power supply second
ary input per TNX131AF329E10, Section 3.4.2.5
(FAR 29.1459 (a) (6))
