    Description Warranty Printer: Two-year standard factory warranty. One added year for a total of three-year factory warranty with HID printer registration. Factory warranty covers parts and depot repair. Printer Ink Cartridge Warranty: 12-month storage / 6-month usage. 12-month storage means that a cartridge should be installed into the printer for use within 12 months from the labeled fill date on the ink cartridge.

Other file types, including CMYK files result in potential color variances in loss of saturation. Card Type Specifies the card type for optimal temperature and dwell settings. Options are: HID UltraCard (default), HID UltraCard Premium, HID PVC Technology Card, Other PVC Card or Pre-Printed PVC Card.

Options are: Fast - optimizes for high-speed printing. With UltraCard and UltraCard Premium, this mode can print an estimated 100 cards per hour. Other card types can print an estimated 86 cards per hour.

    Displays an approximation of the remaining ink level. When the printer reports a low ink level, a warning symbol is displayed. Note: For optimum performance, the INK1000 is designed to work with a specific genuine HID Global ink. Please make sure you buy the correct genuine HID ink for replacement. We do not guarantee performance with types or brands of ink not specified for the INK1000.

    Powering HID® FARGO® INK1000 Trusted Identities Windows User Guide 3.3.5 Calibrate sensors The sensors should be calibrated after a firmware update, an ink cartridge change, or if you see the print is not well-centered on the card. For example, if a white band is visible in the border of the card. Over time, there can be stains on the LED or on the sensor and calibrating the sensors should overcome these types of issues.

    After installation, the Status Monitor is set to launch on start up. It can be accessed through a short cut in your startup folder or an icon in the notification area (which may be hidden). To make the HID Status Monitor icon be more visible on your PC, you can pin it to your taskbar or use the Windows settings to always show the icon on the taskbar.
