Wheels and drive system
Dismantle the cogwheel for the drive on
both sides.
Unhook the spring (A).
Dismantle the protective cover over the
belt pulley.
Dismantle the connecting rod for the
height setting from the upper wheel link.

Replace any ball bearings in the wheel
links.
Prize off the circlip using a small screw-
driver and remove the cogwheel from the
drive shaft on both sides.
NOTE!
Always replace lockwashers when
assembling after a service.
Unhook the spring (A).
Remove both screws (B), lift off the pro-
tective cover and pull the drive belt away
from the belt pulley.
Tips!
Mark on the rear axle and the wheel link
their mutual position. This facilitates sub-
sequent assembly.
Make sure the height setting is in the
highest position and the spring has been
loosened as much as possible.
The connecting rod can now also be dis-
mantled from the right-hand wheel link.
Unscrew the nuts (C) holding the wheel
links against the rear axle.
Disconnect the belt tensioning cable and
lift of the entire rear axle with the gearbox.
Note the orientation of the gearbox in rela-
tion to the rear axle.
To replace the ball bearing in the wheel
link it must be heated to approximately
110°C using a hot air gun.
Tap the link against a wooden block so the
ball bearing fall out of its seating.
Fit a new ball bearing while the wheel link
is still warm.
