Controls
Remove the engine brake cable from the
lever arm by the engine.

Engine brake
Model LC48, LC53
Push both sides of the engine brake bar
together so that it can be removed from
the handlebar.
Then disconnect the cable from the
engine brake bar and mounting by the
engine.
Clamp the sides together at the nipple
using a small pair of fl at nosed pliers and
lift away from the lever arm.
Model LC48 Be, LC53 Be
The engine brake bar, the blade brake and
drive controls have a coordinated function.
If replacing the bar, both the other controls
must be dismantled from the handlebar.
1. Loosen the knob (A) and fold the guide
bow forward.
2. Remove the 5 screws (B). Mark how
the cable is laid out and remove the
drive control from the handlebar.
3. Disconnect the engine brake bar (C)
from the blade brake control in the
event of replacement.
