7.9.4 To examine the spark plug cable
If there is no spark when you do a spark test of the
ignition module, you must examine the spark plug cable.
1. Remove the ignition module. Refer to
disassemble the ignition system on page 42 .
2. Remove the spark plug cable from the spark plug
cap.
3. Remove the spring from the spark plug cable. Turn
the spring to remove it from the spark plug cable.
4. Put the end of the spark plug cable in the assembly
pliers. Close the assembly pliers to make a new
hole.

5. Put the spring into the new hole.

6. Put the spark plug cable with the open spring into
the other slot in the assembly pliers. Close the
assembly pliers to bend the spring.
7. Push the spark plug cable into the spark plug cap.
CAUTION: Make sure that the spring is bent
90 degrees along the spark plug cable.
