4.2 Disconnecting pressure
reducer
Note:
It is essential to release the pressure in the sys-
tem before you unscrew the pressure reducer.
Otherwise the pressure reducer will be difficult
or impossible to disconnect.
1. Close the oxygen cylinder valve.
2. It is essential to release the pressure in
the system, e.g. by switching a connect-
ed device on and then off or opening a
shut-off valve.
While the system is under pressure, the
sealing ring is pressed into the wedge-
shaped circular gap between the oxygen
cylinder valve and connecting union
For this reason it is impossible to remove
the pressure reducer under pressure.
3. Unscrew the union nut
