Installation Steps: Overview
Ê Configure the server and install the desired operating system and applica-
tions. The following options are available:
– For the SAS server version:
Configure the onboard SAS controller with IME functionality in the BIOS-
POST by pressing CTRL-C or, for installation with ServerStart, using GAM
(Global Array Manager) or ServerView RAID
Configure the ZCR controller in the BIOS-POST by pressing CTRL-H or,
for installation with ServerStart, using GAM (Global Array Manager) or
ServerView RAID
– For the SATA server version:
Configure the onboard SATA controller in the BIOS-POST by pressing
CTRL-M or, for installation with ServerStart, using GAM (Global Array
Manager) or ServerView RAID
Configure the PCI SATA RAID controller in the BIOS-POST by pressing
CTRL-H or, for installation with ServerStart, using GAM (Global Array
Manager) or ServerView RAID
– Remote configuration and installation with ServerStart:
The ServerStart CD supplied allows you to conveniently configure the
server and install the operating system.
