4. IP Address Setting for Computer

Set the IP address of the PC according to step 1 or 2 below.

[When a DHCP server is installed on the network]
To automatically allocate the IP address using a DHCP
server, in the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Properties" screen, in the "General" tab window, select
"Obtain an IP address automatically" , and click "OK".
[When a DHCP server is NOT installed on the network]
To specify the IP address directly without installing a
DHCP server, in the "Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4) Properties" screen, in the "General" tab
window, select "Use the following IP address:". Enter
values in the "IP address" and "Subnet mask". Then click
"OK".
The values entered for "IP address" and "Subnet mask"
must be set according to the network used.
* The display on the left shows an example:
IP address = 192.168.250.10
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
