7 Operation
Note
The device does not have operating elements for
parameterization on site.
Operation and configuration is performed through the
parameterization program, see Commissioning on page 12.
Safety instructions
If there is a chance that safe operation is no longer possible,
take the device out of operation and secure it against
unintended startup.
8 Diagnosis / Troubleshooting
General
Error messages and device disruptions are indicated via the
status LED on the sensor.
Status LED on the transmitter
The status LED on the transmitter indicates the operating
condition of the device and displays possible faults.
LED
Description
Continuous green light
The sensor is ready for operation.
Green flashing
The measuring range set has been up-scaled.
Continuous red light
Parameter or hardware fault on the sensor.

Reestablish parameterization, see Reestablish
the parameterization on page 15.

Repairs required, contact ABB Service.
Red blinking
Initialization phase of the device.
(approx. 30 s after power-up of the power supply
or after parameter changes)
Red slowly blinking
Undervoltage.
Check the supply power
Red quickly blinking
EEPROM fault.
Repairs required, contact ABB Service.
