There are a number of options when ordering Type R Systems: for User Interfaces and I/O options.
TheSystemconsistsofaUR6500CoreconnectedtoacombinationofIM64136-wideFaderPanels,MU6411LargeSoftPanels
(LSP),MU6410SmallSoftPanels(SSP)connectedviaaPoE+ethernetswitch&CalrecAssistrunningonaconfigurationcomputer.
TheCorecontainsAnalogueandAESI/OaswellasGPIOconnectivity.InadditionthereareanumberofI/Ounittypeswhichcanbe
connectedtousingAoIPinterfaces.ThefollowingtableshowsallTypeRoptions:

• EachIM64136-wideFaderPanelhasadedicatedfaderstatusdisplay,4userdefinablelarge
buttonsF1-F4,2userdefinablesmallbuttonsR1&R2andauserdefinablerotarycontrolcellR
withitsowncontroldisplayforeachofthe6faders.Notethateachfadercanaccesstwolayers
describedasLayerAandLayerB,thiscanbeswitchedfromauserdefinablebutton.
• EachMU6411LargeSoftPanelhasatouchcontrolledTFT,6userdefinablerotarycontrolsand
6userdefinablebuttons.
• EachMU6410SmallSoftPanelhasatouchcontrolledTFT,1userdefinablerotarycontroland
1userdefinablebutton.
InadditionCalrecAssistisprovidedasaGUIapplicationtorunonaconfigurationcomputeroptionally
suppliedbyCalrecorprovidedbythecustomer,providingitmeetstheminimumspecification.
Power,Router,ControlProcessor,andDSPareallselfcontainedwithinthe2UCoreunitwhich
hastwoIECconnectorstoprovidePSUredundancy.Thecoreoperatesat44. 1 ,48,&96kHzand
supportsupto3Consoles.
AnumberofDSPpackagesareavailablefor1,2or3consolesrunningonacore.

AY-SplitIECcableisrequiredforsupplyingpowertothecoreandeachoftheOptionalI/Ounits

injectorsoverCat5eorCat6shieldedtwistedpair(STP)cable.
The2UhighUR6500Coreprovides4AESInputportswithSRCindication,4AESOutputports,
8channelsofanaloguemic/lineinputwith48vphantompowerindication,8channelsofanalogue
lineleveloutput,12GPIand12GPOportsand2Stereoheadphoneoutputs.
Inaddition,2xUS6493AoIPdevices(withredundantPrimaryandSecondaryconnections)may
optionallybefittedinsidetheunit,eachallowingupto256channelstobepassedineitherdirection
asAoIPstreamsto/fromotherI/OdevicessuchasotherTypeRI/OboxesviaGigabitIPswitches.
