Sensing Data

Data from the key and hammer sensors is translated into performance data as indicated below.
Keyboard Playing Data
Keyboard playing data is detected by the hammer and Key Sensors. The most basic detection method is as
follows.

Note OFF Timing
Although the above is the basic method, in fact a number of different programs are provided to allow for var-
ious types of complex performance. The programs generate playing data by intelligently interpreting the
information received from the various sensors. On models that don't include a hammer sensor, all play infor-
mation is supplied by the Key Sensor.
