• Transmits the pedal performance data (detected by the Pedal Sensor) to the PK-
CTL sheet. On GP models, sostenuto-pedal performance data is sent to the Sen-
sor Sheet.
• This "Pedal Sensor sheet" exists independently on UP models only. On GP
models, the pedal drive sheet carries out this function.
• Detects pedal position data even during playback, and transfers this data to the
PK-CTL sheet so as to implement corrective servo control.
• "MN" stands for "Main". This sheet is installed on GranTouch models and all
silent models.
• This sheet includes its own CPU.
• This sheet includes a piano tone generator (based on sound samples from the
CF3S).
• The sheet implements the XG tone generator. It is typically installed in the con-
troller. Disklavier Silent, Disklavier GranTouch, this sheet is installed above the
MN sheet.
• "KMC" stands for "Key Motion Control." This sheet is installed on PRO mod-
els.
• For general models (non-PRO models), the PK-CTL sheet provides both KMC-
sheet and PMC-sheet functions. Specifically, the PK-CTL sheet is divided into a
KMC part and a PMC part, each with its own CPU.
• The KMC sheet includes flash memory. The program can be upgraded from
floppy.
• The keyboard playback tables are also stored in the sheet's flash memory.
• "PMC" stands for "Pedal Motion Control." This sheet is installed on PRO mod-
els.
• For general models (non-PRO models), the PK-CTL sheet provides both KMC-
sheet and PMC-sheet functions. Specifically, the PK-CTL sheet is divided into a
KMC part and a PMC part, each with its own CPU.
• The PMC sheet is mounted in the pedal unit.
• This sheet includes flash memory. The program can be upgraded from floppy.
• The pedal playback tables are also stored in the sheet's flash memory.
• "SCPP" stands for "Servo Control for Piano Player."
• This sheet is mounted under the key drive unit.
• The sheet compares feedback from the MM sensor with target values from the
KMC, and executes correction accordingly.
• This sheet is mounted under the key drive unit.
• During playback, this sheet receives drive data from the SCPP sheet, amplifies
the data by FET (field-effect transistor), and drives the solenoids accordingly.
• Includes a polyswitch for each key, so as to protect the solenoids.
• "DSP" stands for "Digital Signal Processor." This sheet is mounted in the Mark
III's controller.
• This sheet controls the CD-drive function.
• This sheet includes flash memory. The program can be upgraded from floppy.
