The general servicing procedure for hybrid models is as follows.
1. Adjust the acoustic system.
Acoustic-system adjustment differs from conventional acoustic-piano adjustment with respect to the fol-
lowing points.
• Let-off adjustment (if silent function is included)
• Spoon bending (if small DKV)
• Pedal adjustment
2. Adjust the hammer shank stopper.
3. Use Maintenance mode to take pedal and keyboard measurements.
4. Use Test mode to check the functioning of the electrical units (sensors, etc.). Carry out sensor height
adjustment and sensor calibration as necessary.
When making adjustments at the customer's residence, the following operations should always be carried out.
1. Adjust the acoustic system.
2. If working on a Disklavier, test recording and playback (all 88 keys and right and left pedals).
3. Check current pedal adjustment, and carry out pedal measurement.
4. Use headphones to check the sound production of the piano tone generator and XG tone generator.
If you discover a problem at any of the above steps, use Maintenance mode, Test mode, or other relevant
methods to determine the cause.
* About GranTouch models: These models are fully digital and are therefore generally maintenance-free.
But you should be prepared to carry out action regulation at the customer's request. And if there is a
problem with the sound output, sensors and other mechanisms must be checked to determine the cause.
