2. Key Sensor
Check that the key sensor is functioning properly and that the height is correct.
MarkII (1-beam ON/OFF)
Use "KEY SENSOR DEPTH TEST" on the SENSOR SHEET menu.
(1) KEY TEST
KEY NUMBER = XX
DGT2IIXG, DGT7, DGPS, MPX70, PRO, MarkIII (1-beam continuous)
For all except the PRO, use "KEY SENSOR DEPTH TEST" on the SENSOR SHEET menu.
For the PRO, use "KEY SENSOR DEPTH TEST" on the "Sensor unit test" menu.
(1) KEY TEST
KEY NUMBER = XX
3. Hammer Sensor
Check that the hammer sensor is functioning properly and that the height (the position) is correct.
Don't use the keys to move the hammers. Instead, you must move the hammers directly. (For upright
models, press on the heads. For grand pianos, use the dedicated jig to raise the shank.)
MarkII, MarkIIXG (1-beam 2-points)
Use "HAMMER SENSOR HEIGHT TEST" on the SENSOR SHEET menu.
(2) HMR TEST
KEY NUMBER = XX
MPXII, MPXIIXG (1-beam 2-points)
Use "HAMMER SENSOR HEIGHT TEST" on the SENSOR SHEET menu.
(2) HMR TEST
KEY NUMBER = XX
DGT211XG, DGT7 (1-beam 2-points)
Use "HAMMER SENSOR HEIGHT TEST" on the SENSOR SHEET menu.
(2) HMR TEST
KEY NUMBER = XX
Press the key down slowly, and confirm that the key
comes ON (the buzzer sounds) when the key depth
reaches 4.5 mm.
Press the key down slowly. to confirm that points K1 to
K4 are evenly spaced. (Listen to the buzzer and watch
the display to determine the point locations.)

Slowly advance the hammer toward the strings, and con-
firm that the second buzzer (H2) comes on when the
hammer is 1.5 mm from the strings.
Set the unit into silent mode. Slowly advance the ham-
mer toward the strings. Confirm that the second buzzer
(H2) comes on when the hammer is approaching contact
with the jack stopper (specifically, when the hammer is
0.5–2 mm from the jack stopper).
Slowly advance the hammer toward the stopper. Con-
ON
firm that the second buzzer (H2) comes on when the
hammer is 1.5 mm away from the stopper. The display
will show H1, then H2, and then ON.
