4. Push Type (Shank stop: 4.5–7 mm; Let-off: 5.5–8 mm)
• If hammer heads or damper blocks are making contact with the stopper, adjust the height of the hang
metal (Fig. 1) and/or the height of the bass-bracket stopper stay (Fig. 3) as necessary.
• If the stopper does not return smoothly when silent mode is released, adjust the stopper-stay angle so
that the stopper pivot hole is aligned with the stopper pivot (Fig. 3).
• With silent mode engaged, check whether the line from the S-lever pivot to the stopper pivot (Fig. 2) is
perpendicular to the shank stopper. If the line is not perpendicular, adjust with the turn buckle. If the
necessary adjustment cannot be made with the turn buckle, then adjust the drive metal stay forward or
back as necessary.
• Loosen the screws (see Fig. 4) and adjust the shank stop position.
• If the stopper bolt contacts the stopper rubber when the piano is switched into silent mode, loosen the
lock screws and adjust the height of the stopper bolt (Fig. 5).
